The MCA Department of Health is inviting the community to a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk taking place in Kana:takon on Saturday, October 25. This walk is meant to honour our survivors, those who lost their battle to breast cancer, and those who support the cause.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Walk will start at the Kanonhkwa’tsheri:io Health Facility at 10:00 a.m., and will loop around the Village of Kana:takon, returning back to the Kanonhkwa’tsheri:io Health Facility where there will be light refreshments and healthy snacks, information tables and resources for screening services and general health information for all participants in the Atrium (bottom floor).
Community members who wish to participate are encouraged to create banners, signs, posters, t-shirts, and any other memorabilia to show who you are walking for. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

Best Dressed/Outfit
This event is open to all Akwesasne community members and those affected by breast cancer.
